The calm before the chaos

A new season of paintings have been working their way through my conscious and subconscious- now processing into real work on canvas.  It can take time, and this is the first iteration that has been released.  What started as charcoal drawings, have been through various methods of representation, to come out like this.  Is it the emperor wearing new clothes?
